So You wanna be a photographer?

Are you interested in photography but not sure if you have what it takes to be a great photographer? Fear not, my friend! As a professional photographer who has spent countless hours honing my craft, I have compiled a list of essential qualities that all great photographers possess. So, without further ado, here are the top 5 qualities you need to become a great photographer:

  1. Patience: If you want to be a great photographer, you need to have patience. Lots and lots of patience. Because let's face it, photography is all about waiting. Waiting for the perfect light, waiting for the perfect moment, waiting for your subject to stop blinking. If you can wait for hours in the freezing cold just to get the perfect shot, then you're on the right track.

  2. A sense of humor: Photography can be a frustrating and stressful endeavor, so having a good sense of humor is essential. When your camera battery dies right as

you're about to capture the perfect shot, or when your lens gets fogged up in the rain, you need to be able to laugh it off and keep going.

3. Attention to detail Great photographers have an eye for detail. They notice the small things that others might miss, like a reflection in a puddle or a subtle change in the light. If you have a keen eye for detail, you'll be able to capture stunning photos that others might overlook.

Creativity Photography is an art form, and great photographers have a unique vision and creative approach to their craft. They're always looking for new and interesting ways to capture the world around them, and they're not afraid to take risks and try something different.

5. A LOVE OF COFFEE Okay, this one might not be essential, but let's face it, many photographers love their coffee. Whether you need a caffeine boost to get up early for a sunrise shoot or to power through an all-night editing session, coffee is a photographer's best friend.

So, there you have it! If you have patience, a sense of humor, attention to detail, creativity, and a love of coffee, then you're well on your way to becoming a great photographer. Just don't forget to bring your camera along for the ride!
